Free and Easy Forever Fund Kick-off Event

The Free and Easy Forever Fund was established to create a new memorial in remembrance of class members Richard Caproni '89 and Michael Hannan '89 killed in the 9/11 attacks and Lynne Hartunian '89 and Colleen Brunner ’90 killed in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 on their return home from a semester in London.

The memorial's theme, “Peace: Free and Easy,” comes from the refrain in Michael Hannan's favorite song, “Wooden Ships” from Crosby, Stills & Nash. This memorial will exemplify that peace can be obtained easily if we all want it.

During Reunion 2014, a special kick-off event was held and the renderings of the new memorial, located between Seneca and Tyler halls, were revealed. The site surrounds the existing Caproni and Hannan memorial tree and will feature plaques for each of the four classmates. This beautiful enhancement will be seen and used by students for years to come.

Please consider making a gift online to the Free and Easy Forever Fund or by check using this pledge form and help support this special memorial project!
