Graduate Assistantship
SUNY Oswego is a destination for smart, self-directed, ambitious graduate students. Even as our 30-plus graduate programs continue to grow in size and quality, we must always be strategic in positioning our schools and colleges to attract the best students — those who bring fresh ideas and insight to the classroom and laboratory.

For many students, their choice of where they will study is often influenced by personal finances. That’s why graduate assistantships are vital. Additional funding — providing stipends for living and educational expenses — will keep graduate study at SUNY Oswego within reach of all deserving students.

A graduate degree opens the door to greater earning power, career advancement and deeper understanding of a specific subject for students. The endowed graduate assistantship will provide needed funding to keep an Oswego education affordable and within reach for students from all walks of life. A graduate assistantship gives the student an opportunity to gain practical work experience to complement their academic goals while providing the college with additional support to move a project forward at a faster pace.

Graduate Assistantships naming opportunities begin at $150,000. For information on how to establish an endowed fund and recognition opportunities, please review Recognition and Naming Opportunities.
