Giving Societies

Those individuals and organizations who generously support SUNY Oswego deserve our thanks and recognition. The following societies were established to pay tribute to those who inspire a culture of philanthropy and provide the much-needed resources to--in the words of college founder Edward Austin Sheldon--raise this college to “its highest degree of usefulness.”

In addition to our sincere gratitude, members of these philanthropic societies receive invites to exclusive events, recognition at alumni and campus-wide events, insider communications from College President Deborah F. Stanley and other special recognitions.

Green and Gold Club

Members of the Green and Gold Club, named for the college colors, power our ability to respond more quickly to opportunities and needs that arise from year to year. In addition, Green and Gold Club members make direct impact on the quality and quantity of opportunities for students to learn in and out of the classroom.

The SUNY Oswego Green and Gold Club recognizes gifts in the following levels:
  • $500 - $999 Gold member
  • $250 - $499 Green member

The President's Circle

Your leadership gifts within The President’s Circle level are a vital annual source of funding beyond tuition revenues. It supports all aspects of student life at SUNY Oswego, inside and outside the classroom and therefore supports all of our campaign priorities. President Circle gifts benefit every student, every day, in the year they are given.

During the campaign every gift, no matter the size, moves us closer to our goal. In fact, collectively these gifts — from alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff and others — will represent one of the largest contributions to the Campaign.

Your generosity will support a wide range of annual initiatives including:
  • Supporting current students and families who require financial aid
  • Funding innovative campus-wide faculty/student collaborative programs and projects
  • Making investments to keep our classrooms, laboratories and library at the leading edge of technology
  • Connecting students with alumni for career networking and internship opportunities
We would like to extend a special thank you to our loyal donors who have established an endowment or made a major gift to Oswego during the Campaign. We hope you will also consider making an annual unrestricted gift to The Fund for Oswego. This will help us continue to provide a quality education for all of our students.

Sheldon Legacy Society
