1861 Challenge goes beyond 600 donors to reach super goal!
THANK YOU to the 712 alumni, parents, faculty, staff, emeriti, students and friends who made gifts for the 1861 Challenge!
Shortly after 6 p.m., we reached our 600-donor goal. After learning we were close, Engineering Advisory Board member Keith McDermott '81 offered to up the ante and give an additional $10,000 to The Fund for Oswego if we reached a super goal of 681 donors before the challenge ends at 9 p.m. EST -- a mark we also achieved!
That means we earned a total of $35,000 in challenge gifts in just 1,861 minutes!
In addition, these proud alumni have also offered challenges of their own in conjunction with the 1861 Challenge:
Larry Wraight '73 will make a gift of $1,000 to The Fund for Oswego if 31 Wrestling alumni make a gift.
Joy Westerberg Knopp '92 will make a gift of $1,861 to The Fund for Oswego if 25 members of the Class of 1992 make a gift.
An anonymous soccer alumnus will make a gift of $5,000 to The Fund for Oswego if 25 Men's Soccer alumni make a gift.
