Advocacy Through Art: Documentary Film Explores Past and Possibilities of World’s Fair Pavilion
When SUNY Oswego alumnus Matthew Silva ’08 drove by the Flushing Meadows site of the 1964-65 World’s Fair, his curiosity was piqued by the decaying New York State Pavilion there. Half a century of nature and neglect have eroded the beauty of the iconic structure, and Silva wondered if the damage could be reversed. 

Alumni and a Dash of 1920s Oswego Spotlighted in Classic Opera
Oswego motifs abounded in Oswego Opera Theatre’s adaptation of Rigoletto, Giuseppi Verdi’s mid-19th century opera. Staged in SUNY Oswego’s Waterman Theatre in February, the heartbreaking tale of innocence betrayed, curses fulfilled and trust misplaced evoked Oswego in the 1920s days of wild parties and speakeasies.

SUNY Oswego Students' Broadcast Projects Win National Honors
Students from SUNY Oswego won two awards in the recent Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts, a national competition.

Oswego State Wins Two National Community Service Awards
The Oswego State Intercollegiate Athletics Department has been named the national winner for the Jostens/National Association Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) Community Service Award in two categories: "an array of projects" and "ongoing project/activity" completed during the 2012-2013 academic year.
