SUPPORT A SCHOLARSHIP

SUNY Oswego currently has about 250 privately-funded scholarships and awards available to students. With an enrollment of more than 8,000 students and as tuition and fees continue to increase, the Oswego College Foundation is continually looking to increase scholarship opportunities for students.

Scholarships have a direct impact on student experiences. For some, they are the only means that a student can attend the college. For others, it helps lift the burden of large college loans that they will be facing upon graduating. Learn about some ways that scholarships have made an impact on students’ lives through our Scholarship Stories.

How Can I Help?
Donors have several options to support SUNY Oswego’s scholarship program:
  • Establish a new scholarship
New scholarships are established, endowed, and named with a minimum gift of $25,000. The donation can be made through outright gifts of cash or appreciated stock, through a multi-year pledge (no more than 5 years), or through a bequest or other charitable giving instruments (e.g. gift annuities, trusts, etc.). View our FAQs for more information.
  • Support the Possibility Scholars program that aids students from New York State who have an interest in pursuing a career in the STEM fields and have demonstrated financial need.
  • Support the Presidential Scholars program that provides merit-based scholarships to incoming students who have demonstrated high academic achievement.
  • Make a donation to the general scholarship fund to support SUNY Oswego’s general scholarship needs.
