Oswego Alumni Association, INC.

Mission
The Oswego Alumni Association Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, which exists to inform and interest a diverse constituency in the life of the university to create a partnership that encourages involvement, enhances loyalty and serves the current and future needs of SUNY Oswego and our alumni.

Our Values
Pride: The OAA recognizes, fosters and reflects a spirit of allegiance to Oswego among alumni and friends—past, present and future.
Collaboration: The OAA embraces open communication and cooperation in our interactions throughout the college and with alumni and friends.
Accountability: The OAA strives for excellence, recognizing our responsibility to alumni and friends for professional and meaningful interactions.
Innovation: The OAA seeks constant evolution in our activities, setting clear and ambitious goals to achieve our vision, mindful of the needs and interests of every generation of students, alumni and friends.

Our Goals
• Build and sustain a strong infrastructure, including staff and Board of Directors
• Engage a broad spectrum of alumni and friends in OAA activities and programs
• Position the OAA as a “value-added” component on campus and within the broad alumni network
• Help build a culture of giving to encourage alumni and friends to share their time, talent and treasure with the college

Governance
The OAA is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The board has primary oversight of the association’s funds and business operations, and actively participates in the shaping of OAA policies and strategic decision-making. Directors are ambassadors of the association and SUNY Oswego and work on behalf of the more than 85,000 alumni to ensure the association provides communications and programs to engage and serve Oswego alumni today and in the future.
