Making the Difference - One Gift at a Time
With the help of 6,561 alumni, faculty, staff, emeriti, parents and friends, The Fund for Oswego raised $8,162,907 between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013 – an increase of 171% over last year.
The fundraising highlight of the year was the $5 million dollar gift received from Emeritus Professor of Education Dr. Barbara Palmer Shineman '65 M '71 and the Richard S. Shineman Foundation. This transformational historic gift was made in honor of Barbara's late husband Dr. Richard S. Shineman, the founding chair of the chemistry department and devoted supporter of Oswego.
The Fund for Oswego celebrates all annual gifts of varying amounts. Our students benefit from the thousands of gifts received. YOUR gift to The Fund for Oswego directly supports students as SUNY Oswego's operating budget is less than 20% state funded.
The sky's the limit for our students as they reach for their dreams with your support!
To kick-off the 2013-14 giving year, student callers will be contacting Oswego alumni and friends as part of the Telefund, one of the largest single sources of gifts to The Fund for Oswego.
All contributors to The Fund for Oswego between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013 can find their name in this year's Honor Roll of Appreciation, which will be released on National Philanthropy Day Nov. 15.
