With Classes, Calling Commences
The cool fall air is a sign that Oswego students are back in classes. They have bought their books and stocked up on cheap noodles. The less experienced (or weathered, that is) students have already had their brand-new umbrella turned inside out.
But this time of year means more for Oswego students. They have begun to pick up the phone and call previous generations of campus-dwellers. The Telefund
has begun placing calls to Oswego alumni, in hopes of securing their renewed support to The Fund for Oswego
The Fund for Oswego
is in place to support student opportunities inside the classroom and beyond. It supports everything from equipment upgrades in classrooms to bringing alumni back to campus to speak to classes through our A.I.R. (Alumni in Residence)
and A.S.K. (Alumni Sharing Knowledge)
About 50% of the supporters of The Fund for Oswego
make their gift through the dedicated team of callers at the Telefund. This makes up approximately 20% of the dollars given to The Fund for Oswego
The Telefund is also a great opportunity for alumni to ask questions about their alma mater and connect with the current generation of Oswego students. Pairing student callers and alumni based on their majors has proven an effective way for students to network and gain insight from alumni.
Be sure to pick up the phone when you are contacted by one of the student callers. For more information on the Telefund or The Fund for Oswego
